MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A 24-year-old man was arrested and appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court on 13 May on a charge of robbery.
According to police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp, the man's arrest and subsequent court appearance follow after he allegedly threatened a woman (32) with a knife and robbed her of her camera on Dias Beach on 8 May.
"According to reports, the suspect tried to flee, but was soon apprehended by friends of the victim, who were swimming at the time of the robbery, and were alerted by the victim," said Kapp.
The suspect remains in custody until his next court appearance.
