MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Wolwedans Dam began overflowing at 17:00 yesterday afternoon, 7 May.
Cobus Visagie, the control water control officer, said as of 08:00 this morning, Friday 8 May, the dam’s level was at 52.960m and it was 101.25% full.
Visagie told Mossel Bay Advertiser yesterday that when the dam’s level reaches 52.7m, it is at capacity.
The Mossel Bay Municipality outlined the Wolwedans’ percentages measured as follows over the last few days:
- 4 May: 54.47%.
- On 6 May it went from 58.35% to 63.13%.
- On 7 May it went from 84.46% to eventually 101.15% measured at at 19:00.
