MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Community members of the Elangeni area in KwaNonqaba have ended their talks with the station commissioner of the KwaNonqaba Police, Lieut-Col Azisa Madongwana.
The crowd of about 50 people left the premises of the police station. They insisted on the release of two people who were arrested earlier today in connection with the destruction of a number of structures last night in the Elangeni area.
The community destroyed structures of foreign nationals whom they were convinced were dealing in drugs.
The KwaNonqaba Police spokesperson, Sgt Kapp said the public order policing unit (POPS) will continue to monitor the situation. "No roads are barred at this stage," Sgt Kapp confirmed.
