MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Members of the public are reminded to make use of the Thusong Centre, alongside the Home Affairs Department in Adriaans Avenue.
It provides a number of services.
The Thusong Centre is able to help people with paperwork regarding tax, the Road Accident Fund, registering an NPO, municipal services and Home Affairs procedures. The centre also helps with queries regarding SASSA and the departments of Social Development (foster care issues, social grants and food relief) and Labour.
The centre falls under the municipality and it also reports to Western Cape provincial government.
A post office has been built at the Thusong Centre and it will be opening soon.
There is also a library, which falls under the municipal libraries department.
It saves transport costs to use the Thusong Centre with regards to municipal queries such as water and electricity. Members of the public do not have to go to town.
If they live in Asla Park they can simply walk to the Thusong Centre.
Services are offered from Monday to Thursday at the Thusong Centre (044 606 5129). Opening hours are 07:45 to 15:00.
