Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The man who is accused of killing Yolin Kannemeyer (20), the mother of his four-year-old child, appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's court on Monday, 28 June.
Simon Jacobs (25) was arrested in Mossel Bay when his brother found Kannemeyer dead on the couple's sofa.
On Monday, Jacobs started testifying during his formal bail application.
The case was postponed to 5 July, when the investigating officer will give her testimony. Jacobs remains in custody.
Police spokesperson Colonel Malcolm Pojie says a preliminary investigation indicates that Kannemeyer was assaulted with a blunt object.
He says the child was home during the incident.
Pojie says more charges could be added as the investigation continues.
