MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Cancer Association of South Africa is holding an awareness walk to raise funds at the Langeberg Mall in Voorbaai, Mossel Bay, this evening, Friday 23 October.
The walk will take place in the basement of the mall. All are welcome to attend. Stretch your legs and get some exercise and support a worthy cause at the same time. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - more reason to show your support.
Registration for the walk starts at 16:30 and the walk begins at 18:00. The event should finish by 19:30.
Then, tomorrow, Saturday 24 October, also at the Langeberg Mall, there will be a Cansa wellness day. Cansa will be stationed in what used to be the Edgars premises at the mall. At a cost of only R30, there will be prostrate cancer tests (PSA) for men, which only requires blood extraction by pricking the finger.
There will also be breast screening in private cubicles by a nursing sister and Specsavers will be doing eye screening.
The SA National Blood Service will also be there to take blood donations.
The wellness day starts at 09:00 and finishes at 15:00.
