GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The Mossel Bay Advertiser reported in last week's edition that four members of the Garden Route SPCA committee had resigned suddenly.
The resignations followed the suspension of three GR SPCA staff - two at the Mossel Bay branch and one at the George branch.
When contacted for an update on the hearings for the suspended staff members, GR SPCA committee spokesperson Bruno MacDonald said: "The first hearing was adjourned last week because one of the participants was unwell. The hearing is scheduled to resume on 6 May.
"The other two hearings are scheduled to begin on 15 April and 6 May. All three members of staff remain suspended."
