Mossel Bay Police Station staff’s hard work rewarded

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay Police Station held its yearend function and awards at the Mossel Skuur venue in Aalwyndal on Friday, 6 December.

Police personnel were dressed to the nines, in keeping with the theme of the function, "glitz and glamour", and enjoyed the evening, celebrating a year of hard work and dedication to serving the Mossel Bay community.

The award winners were:

• Visible Policing member of the year - Constable Jurgen van Staden

• Visible Policing arrest of the year - Sergeant Donovan Jacobs

• Crime Prevention Unit member of the year - Sergeant Naomi Booysen, Constable Patrick Smith, Constable Xolile Speelman and Constable Margeriette Moolman

• Operational Support member of the year - Warrant Officer Heinrich Schoultz

• Operational Support administration member of the year - Warrant Officer Daniel du Plessis

• Court orderly of the year - Sergeant Jeraldo Strydom

• Detective of the year - Sergeant Thurston Amsterdam

• Detective arrest of the year - Sergeant Riaan Karelse

• Support member of the year - Annemarie van Huizen and Ronelle Botes

• Station commander's award - Captain Jacqueline Grundlingh

• Sportswoman of the year - Captain JoAnne Meyer The evening was rounded off with delicious food and dancing.
