MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Since the start of the Mossel Bay Advertiser's Oliver Twist project, Peter van Vuuren of Object Furniture has donated fabric off-cuts for people to make items.
The Oliver Twist project collects handmade and other items from members of the community and distributes these to those in need.
Shirley Coetzee, manager of the Oliver Twist project, went to show Peter a beautiful handmade quilt, so he could see the type of item people are making from his donations to help those most in need. The Oliver Twist project thanks Peter for his donations.
Another person who has been busy, supporting the Oliver Twist project, is Marianne Potgieter.
Her husband, Deon, sent pictures to the Mossel Bay Advertiser of her handiwork. She has hand knitted 60 teddy bears. These bears are on their way to the Red Cross Children's Hospital, where a need has been identified and they will gladden children's hearts at Christmas.
Shirley thanks all those who have contributed to the Oliver Twist project. "All donations are welcome and repurposed to make items where needed," Shirley said.
