Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The 31-year-old man accused of killing the well-known and loved Keano Brown (23) on 6 July last year appeared in the Mossel Bay Regional Court last Thursday, 19 March.
Claytin Williams is accused of fatally stabbing Brown in Cob Street, Ext 13, that evening. Brown was rushed to hospital, but died from his injuries later.
Williams was arrested that same evening and made his first court appearance on 8 July. He abandoned his bail application almost two weeks later and has remained behind bars ever since.
A funeral was held for Brown at the Holy Nativity Anglican Church in Mossel Bay on 12 July, with over 800 people in attendance, and was live-streamed on YouTube, which garnered over 6 000 views, a testament to how well loved Brown was.
The case against Williams was postponed to 23 April for consultation purposes and a possible pre-trial conference.
