MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay local, Stefano Buitendag, who is Tiny Mr Western Cape and also Little Mr Garden Route, is going full steam ahead, raising money for charity as part of his bid to win the Little Mr Mzantzi Africa title towards the end of the year.
Stefano (5) has about five pageant titles to his name.
He has to sell as many lollipops as possible as part of his charity efforts. The lollipops are quality, twisted candy lollipops.
He has three fundraisers soon, being organised by his mom, Dessi.
The first is on 2 August from 10:00 to 14:00 at Marsh Street Fisheries in Mossel Bay. It is called the Kids' Lunch Show. There will be entertainment for children and they will receive a hot dog and chips and a free charity lollipop.
The next fundraiser is at the old cinema building under the SuperSpar in Da Nova, also on 2 August, but from 15:00 until 19:00. It will consist of a balloon art show.
A clown from Johannesburg, who is also a balloon artist, will be the star of the show.
There will be a tuckshop with fast foods, snacks and cooldrinks. Children will be able to watch as the clown makes his balloon characters. Tickets cost R50, which will include a free lollipop and popcorn.
The next fundraiser is the following day, on 3 August, at Blasters family restaurant in Voorbaai. From 10:00 to 11:00 there will be Latin American dancing by children, from 11:00 to 12:00 Marimba, from 12:00 to 13:00 lunch for the children and playtime, from 13:00 until 15:00 a balloon art show starring the Johannesburg clown/balloon artist and then from 15:00, a dance party for the children.
The tickets for the Blasters fundraiser cost R50 for adults and R90 for children. The R90 includes full-day play (usually children pay R45 for two hours' play), plus the children and adults receive a free lollipop and a slice of cake.
