MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Bartolomeu Dias Museum in Mossel Bay will be holding its annual Marine Month event tomorrow, Thursday 31 October.
Val Marsh, one of the directors of and the spokesperson for the Stranded Marine Animal Rescue Team (S.M.A.R.T.) will give a presentation in collaboration with Tersia Marais, the founder of S.M.A.R.T.
Presentation
The theme of the presentation will be elephant seals.
Excellent photographs by Tersia Marais will be shown and members of S.M.A.R.T. will speak about the elephant seals that have visited the Mossel Bay coastline over the past few years.
The function starts at 18:00 for 18:30 in the Maritime Museum at the museum complex.
Guests are most welcome to dress up in a sea theme if they wish. The function is open to anyone interested and entry is free.
Mermaid or two
"King Neptune and a mermaid or two will also be present and there will be a lucky draw of small gifts," a spokesperson for the museum said.
