A Blue Flag status gives local and foreign visitors the assurance that their beaches are clean, environmentally sound and adhere to international safety and other tourist standards. Information stands will be marked with Blue Flag banners and gazebos.
Activities will include face painting, digging up animals, building sand creatures, identifying animals and colouring-in - from 09:00 to 15:00. All activities are free of charge.
Informative tours will be organised by knowledgeable rangers, telling visitors more about the beach, ocean and creatures in the area. Featuring different subjects daily, tours will be conducted both in the morning and afternoon.
The schedule is as follows:
- 18 December – Shorelines;
- 19 December – Whale Species;
- 20 December – Pollution;
- 21 December – Tides and currents;
- 24 December – Dolphin Species;
- 27 December – Plastic's effect on animals;
- 28 December – Swimming and survival strategies;
- 31 December – Marine bird species.
On public holidays and during the weekend, there will be no activities.
