Garden Route District Municipal manager Monde Stratu and executive mayor Memory Booysen at the sod turning ceremony of a newly launched chemical factory in Mossel Bay.

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The launch of a chemical factory in Mossel Bay is expected to create at least 3 000 new jobs for the Mossel Bay and surrounding communities. 

The factory will supply a variety of chemicals and is situated on the N2 next to Petro SA.

Garden Route district municipal mayor, Memory Booysen opened the sod turning ceremony yesterday, 28 September. 

Booysen said that the construction of the factory will start some time next year. He said the time for lip-service is over and that there are big plans for Mossel Bay in the future.
