MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay's award-winning schoolgirl rapper Dané Prins, AKA Onblusbaar, has brought out a new rap song.
The lyrics are chilling. It is an anti-child and -woman abuse song, called SOS.
It starts with the echoing, eery voices of children, crying repeatedly: "Help! Can you hear me? You're hurting me."
The chorus is, "Don't be silent; stop the violence."
This is probably one of Onblusbaar's best songs, but be prepared, it is not happy stuff. The message is needed though: she encourages people to speak out about abuse.
Onblusbaar released the soundtrack on 27 June, in Youth Month.
