According to the Mossel Bay Tourism Office, no shore excursions were booked for the passengers by the MSC and it is uncertain if the passengers will disembark the vessel.

The MSC Orchestra is expected in Mossel Bay.

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The MSC Orchestra will be arriving in Mossel Bay on Saturday, 15 January, at 07:00.

The vessel is departing Mossel Bay at 18:00 the same day.

According to the Mossel Bay Tourism Office, no shore excursions were booked for the passengers by the MSC and it is uncertain if the passengers will disembark the vessel. 

The swell on the day as well as the weather conditions will determine how many or if any passengers will be allowed ashore. Passengers are mainly South African and the boat is heading for Durban.

If the passengers do come ashore, they will likely start disembarking at 08:00. Mossel Bay Tourism chief operational officer Aneli Gerber said: "Staff from the Tourism Office will be ready to receive passengers as they arrive and we hope to have the passengers supporting business in our central business district."
