MOSSEL BAY NEWS - KwaNonqaba Police arrested a 25-year-old man and confiscated 200 litres of liquor in an operation to crack down on illegal liquor establishments on Friday, 4 October.
The operation took place in Queen Street, Zone 7, KwaNonqaba.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp said the man was arrested and fined, but was not detained.
Kapp said the fine amount could not be disclosed.
"We urge the public to go the legal route if they want to deal in and sell liquor. There is a proper way to do this. One must apply to sell liquor. This does not mean the application will necessarily be approved, but it is better, and legal, to apply," he said.
