GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The Garden Route District Municipality has issued a weather warning for the Garden Route.
Showers and thundershowers (15-20mm in 24 hours) are expected from Monday morning, 22 November, persisting until the evening.
Higher amounts (20-30mm) are expected east of Riversdale, mainly in the morning (05:00-12:00) which can cause localised problems on major routes during peak traffic.
The area of concern is between Mossel Bay and Plettenberg Bay where the highest amount of 40-50mm is possible; some showers can have a quick and heavy downpour (15-20mm in 1 hour).
The lightning associated with the thundershowers might cause some impacts.
