MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The community is cautioned to avoid Mayixhale Street and the surrounding areas; an incident of burning tyres on Mayixhale Street was reported this morning. The fire was extinguished by members of the police's public order police unit.
Mayixhale and Crotz Streets are closed to traffic. Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
According to feedback, taxis do not appear to be driving today and therefore some learners and workers may not have transport.
Law enforcement officers are deployed at strategic points and will monitor the situation throughout.
It is planned that the march to the municipal offices in Marsh Street will begin at 08:00.
