MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Motorists are reminded of the road closures for the sake of the planned mass marches this week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
Marsh Street will only be closed for when the petitions are handed over, and only from Cape Road to the Church Street intersection. Church Street will still be accessible for traffic.
Only the two streets running off Marsh Street, namely Wassung Street and Sixth Avenue, are directly affected by the road closure.
What the marches are about:
- Tuesday 11 February: A housing march by the residents of New Rest.
- Wednesday 12 February: A SAMWU march (reason for march unclear).
- Thursday 13 February: A SANCO march, believed to be related to electricity and indigent issues.
