Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay Fire and Disaster Management Services crews are still on the scene at the fire in the Robinson Pass.
A back burn is the cause of the large plume of smoke that is clearly visible.
However, according to provincial traffic officials the pass remains open for traffic.
Firefighters are monitoring the area at the houses, but the area is still considered to be safe.
The western flank is still burning with the fire makings its way towards the look-out tower.
The south eastern flank is creeping slowly towards the unburnt area.
The area is being closely monitored.
