MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay triumphed with three trophies at this weekend’s Presidents Trophy Air Race, one of the most prestigious events on the aviation calendar.
This year the event was hosted by the West Coast Flying Club in Saldhana.
Mossel Bay pilots Tina van Wyk, Bennie Du Plessis, André Middel, Mario Febbraio, and assisted by Barry de Groot, were the proud recipients of the awards for First Lady Pilot, First Beachcraft, as well as the Provincial Trophy.
Originally known as the Governor General’s Cup Air Race and first held in 1937 the race was renamed the President’s Trophy Air Race in 1994 and boasts a proud history.
Team Mossel Bay was once again the stars of the Southern Cape.
