MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Due to adverse weather conditions predicted for this weekend, the switching on of Mossel Bay’s Christmas lights has been postponed from Saturday, 10 December, to Saturday, 17 December.
According to the South African Weather Service, the prediction is for more than 70% chance of rain in Mossel Bay on Saturday, 10 December.
The traditional switching on of the festive lights takes place annually at Harry Giddey Park. The entire programme, as planned, will take place on Saturday, 17 December, including the market in the park from 16:00 and the start of the official switching on of the lights programme at 18:00.
The programme includes the singing of Christmas carols. The festive lights are switched on at about 20:00.
