According to KwaNonqaba Police communications officer, Sgt Kapp, two police members responded to complaints of a robbery. They apprehended two men armed with among others a panga.
One of the robbers attempted to disarm one of the police members. In the resulting scuffle 2 warning shots were fired. No one sustained any serious injuries.
One of the robbers, a man in his early 30's, were arrested. He is being detained at the Da Gamaskop police cells.
The search for the other robber continues.
