MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - Two suspects who were arrested for the murder of 21-year-old Mossel Bay resident, Rikus Raath did not apply for bail in the Mossel Bay Magistrates Court today.
Khaya Makalima (18) and Masimilelo (23) made a brief court appearance while community members stood outside the court building with a petition, asking that no bail should be granted to the suspects.
Both men are being charged with murder. Raath was stabbed with a sharp object while he was waiting at a traffic light in Louis Fourie Road on his way back from buying milk on 5 June.
The case was postponed to 19 August and the suspects remain in custody.
