MOSSEL BAY NEWS - KwaNonqaba Police Station management lauded the efforts of a special task team consisting of two members, sergeants Melvin Niemand and Thobani Khumkani.
The duo proved that the long arm of the law will always catch up with you in the end, after they went to the Eastern Cape and arrested one of the most wanted suspects in the KwaNonqaba Police's jurisdiction.
On Saturday, 6 January, the two sergeants arrested the 29-year-old suspect after a well-planned operation led the arresting officers to the suspect.
He has since appeared briefly in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court on charges of murder and is currently in custody, waiting to appear for a formal bail application.
The suspect is the only suspect in an incident that took place in Sinethemba Informal settlement on 15 July 2023, in which the suspect allegedly stabbed and killed the then 29-year-old Sinawo Ndlelani. The suspect then fled to the Eastern Cape and was only traced with the help of information from the community and other role players.
