MOSSEL BAY NEWS - "It always seems impossible until it's done."
These words of the late Nelson Mandela sum up the sentiment at the KwaNonqaba police's Prestige Awards ceremony held on Friday, 26 July.
Thanks to a generous sponsorship from Metropolitan, the station celebrated its achievements in style at a glitzy, glamorous event at the Mossel Bay Town Hall. Police officers arrived at a red carpet, a far cry from the dismal physical circumstances they work in, although they serve the largest policing area in the greater Mossel Bay area.

The Mossel Bay Advertiser and Mossel Bay Home Ads News have repeatedly reported on the inadequate work environment at the KwaNonqaba Police Station.
However, despite this, the police shone at the awards, receiving their dues on a job well done during the past year.
During the course of the evening, several guest speakers mentioned the unique and committed partnerships between the neighbourhood watch, community police forum and the police in this area.
In the spirit of ubuntu, there were thanks and honour given to police members winning awards and community members alike.
