MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay municipality has recently appointed a manager for local economic development and tourism.

All the way from Laingsburg, Gwen Harding is excited about working with a team of dedicated people who are intent on growing not only small and medium enterprises, but also getting involved in the projects of a much bigger scale that are being planned.

While at Laingsburg municipality Harding was responsible for the development services portfolio which included, inter alia, local economic development, communications, performance management, spatial development planning, the integrated development plan (IDP) and the responsibility for the ward committees.

One of her two sons has completed his schooling and the other will join the ranks of a local high school next year when the family settles in properly.

Gwen says she is excited about the economic development agenda the municipality is pursuing and is looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
