MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Municipality held health and financial wellness days for its employees last week on 18 and 19 April respectively.

The health wellness day was extremely well attended and there was a steady stream of municipal staff through the old pump station building at Santos Beach, where the wellness days were held.

Product and service suppliers had been invited to attend the day free of charge and there were all types of attendees including optometrists doing eye tests, medical aid companies doing health checks, health product manufacturers, a cosmetics company and Alzheimers SA.

Municipal staff have the opportunity to have basic health checks done, such as sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure checks.

There were more suppliers this year and more of a variety of exhibitors than last year. One of them commented: "It's been busy here today. It was successful. It's all about creating awareness. That is the reason I attended."
