MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - It was a visual feast as well as a mouth-watering treat. The seven chefs outdid themselves.
The designs were mainly flower-based and included sunflowers and roses.

In the end it was a Mossel Bay contestant, Joy Blom, from Dana Bay, whose treats really "took the cake". She won both the main prize and the sugar art prize.
The competition, organised annually by Trudi Stander Events, was held at the Diaz Hotel.
Contestants got to "have their cake and eat it" and share their fare with many other keen samplers.
The judges were impressed by the "eye candy" and the taste of the confectionery and the overall impression was that the competition is becoming more and more of a premier event each year.
This moist cake was a showstopper.
