MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Christian Motorcyclists' Association (CMA) will present a free basic riding school course in Mossel Bay for all motorcyclists on Saturday, 14 October.
Motorcycle trainer and CMA member Giel Huisamen says: "If you ride a motorbike, no matter your experience or how old you are, do attend this, because you will benefit from it hugely.
"We all think we can ride well, but most people do not know the basics of riding and that is why they will never be confident riding through corners, for instance.
"You need to learn about counter steering and why a motorcycle behaves the way it does. Not only will you become a better and safer rider, but you will enjoy your bike a lot more," Huisamen says.
The training will start at 09:00 at the De Bakke parking area.
"We will first do the theory on all aspects of riding in the restaurant building (Longboard Roadhouse). Once that is done we will practise emergency braking and swerving, counter steering and bike control."
The course should end by about 13:00.
"Please use this opportunity to improve your biking skills and confidence," Huisamen says.
He can be contacted on 083 391 5367 to book your place at the training.
