Fire: 400 hectares of plantation destroyed
The fire at Haelkraal (close to Eight Bells on the R328).

Update

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - An estimated 400 hectares of plantation have been lost in the fire raging in the Haelkraal area.

Fire crews are protecting the houses in Cranes Nest and preventing that it jump the Bonniedale road.

With the wind picking up, the crews have quite a fight on their hands as the plantation started burning at approximately 11:50 this morning.
