GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The driver of a Volkswagen was killed in an accident on the N2 at the Gourits bridge last night.
Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa, says it was a head-on collision between a truck and the Volkswagen.
“Both vehicles burnt out and the driver of the Volkswagen was burnt beyond recognition," Afrika said.
The N2 had to be closed in both directions.
The identity of the deceased is not yet known.
