MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The SANParks Honorary Rangers: Wilderness Region will be repeating their exclusive Road Less Travelled Off-Road Experience in the Garden Route National Park during October.
With the assistance of SANParks staff, this event proved extremely successful in 2017 and is set to become an annual event on the Garden Route calendar.
The event gives 4x4 enthusiasts and nature lovers the opportunity to travel along roads normally closed to the public. Participants get to experience indigenous forests, fynbos, sparkling streams and sweeping mountain views.
There are three routes available (graded 1 to 4), with each route offering a unique landscape setting and 4x4 experience to showcase the magnificent natural features of the Garden Route National Park. The trails will take participants along “roads less travelled”, through Karatara Forest, the Goudveld Forest, the Voortrekker Route and from Windmeulnek to Platbos.
Funds raised from the event will be allocated to conservation initiatives in the Garden Route National Park, as identified by SANParks.
The event is scheduled for 6 to 7 October, with entries opening during August. Entries are limited, so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.
Just a glimpse of the beauty to expect during the Road Less Travelled Off-Road Experience.
