MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Bikers are called to support Kids with Cancer for a second time.
On 6 August they will again congregate for a fun day, with cake, cake and more cake. Last year, 80 bikers attended the event and the organisers expressed their hope that this year will see the numbers doubling.
Activities planned include a mass ride, starting at 10:30 from the Longboard Roadhouse, De Bakke, where bikers will meet for breakfast from 08:00.
On their return, activities at De Bakke will include a cupcake-eating competition, stalls and live entertainment, prizes for the best dressed (and others) on the bike run. Win a motorcycle cake in the lucky draw or try your skill in the cupcake-decorating competition. It is open to all participants including children, ladies and the meanest-looking bikers.
All proceeds will go to charity.
How to get involved
Please make a donation to cover the Traffic Department fees, which are the most costly expense. Any contributions towards this necessity to keep the bike run safe will be welcomed.
You can also donate prizes to hand out in the lucky draw and donations towards T-shirts, badges, posters, marketing material and other items are needed. Stalls will be available from 08:00-17:00 at the De Bakke parking lot and stall space is available at a fee of R200.
