MOSSEL BAY NEWS FLASH - The man accused of killing the Ethiopian shop keeper in Highway Park on Monday, 13 July was denied bail by magistrate Flip Hendricks on Thursday, 30 July.
The man allegedly entered the migrant trader's shop and killed him with one gun shot. He then apparently casually left the shop and was allegedly observed where he was counting the R50 he had looted.
The legal representative of the accused argued in court that his client was at home with his mother at the time of the offence.
The investigating officer, Sgt Rudi Swanepoel, told the court that he had witnesses who could place the accused at the scene.
