Another whale carcass near Mossel Bay
The Bryde's Whale was found drifting off the coast.

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - NSRI Station 15 in Mossel Bay responded to a call from a resident about a whale floating off Pinnacle Point earlier today.

The Brede and other craft were launched and an adult Bryde's Whale carcass with nasty cuts was found drifting off the coast.

This is the second Bryde's whale carcass in two weeks near Mossel Bay with possible entanglement as the cause of death.  

If the carcass is seen closer to shore between Dana Bay and Vleesbaai, please contact the NSRI at 082 990 5954.
