MOSSEL BAY NEWS - In a music coup for Mossel Bay, the Arts Society is extremely proud to present Romancing the Classics - an utterly delicious and delightful flute and guitar recital which will soothe the senses.
Renowned South African classical musicians - the award-winning flautist Dr Liesl Stoltz and guitarist Michael Hoole - will be gracing Mossel Bay with their vibrant talent.
An elegant and well-considered programme includes pieces such as Bach’s Sonata C-dur BWV 103, Debussy’s Clair de Lune and Giuliani’s Grosse Sonata in A Op 85. Of special note is the magical Meditation de Thais (Jules Massenet) and Distribution of Flowers - Bachianas Brasileiras no 5 (Aria) (Heitor Villa Lobos).
The recital will take place at the Dias Museum on Thursday, 10 October.
The concert starts at 19:30, with doors opening at 18:00. Tickets - R110 for members of the Mossel Bay Arts Society, R130 for non-members and R30 for learners - are available from the Espresso Spot (at the Dias Museum, Mondays to Fridays between 09:00 and 15:00).
