MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Bravo Lounge at the Garden Route Casino was filled to capacity on Saturday, 20 July, as rugby fans gathered in anticipation before the big screen to see the Bokke meet the Wallabies in their Rugby Championship clash at Ellis Park.
Saturday's Boktown event was the ideal opportunity to enjoy some live rugby, with cheerleaders, family fun and lots of giveaways handed out. Much has been said in the media about Bok coach Rassie Erasmus' supposed "A"and "B" team selection, hence, prior to the match, the jury was still out regarding how wise the decision was to despatch some top players to New Zealand for this weekend's clash with the All Blacks.
The Bok team that took on the Wallabies on Saturday, especially the rookies, proved the point that they are in it to win it, scoring a 35-17 victory against the Australian team. The victory was even sweeter for one of the Boktown visitors, who celebrated his birthday.
He was watching the game with his family and his five-year-old daughter was awarded the prize for the best dressed fan, scoring her dad a complimentary Rugby World Cup 2019 hamper.
Little Zara stole hearts when she got on to the stage and sang happy birthday to her dad over the microphone. The next Boktown event takes place on 17 August at the Bravo Lounge, when the Springboks take on Argentina.
