NATIONAL NEWS - Magistrate John Baloyi says Sipho ‘Brickz’ Ndlovu has shown no remorse for raping his niece and is therefore not suitable for rehabilitation.
Ndlovu was sentenced to 15 years behind bars on Tuesday morning after being found guilty of raping the then 13-year-old girl at his Ruimsig home.
Baloyi says that considering the circumstances around the rape, including how Ndlovu infected the teenage girl with an STI and threatened to kill her if she spoke, he does not deserve a lighter sentence.
Baloyi has reflected on the immediate effect of the rape on the victim.
