MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Three learners from the Southern Cape have been selected to participate in the International Science Fair (ISF) in Johannesburg.
Nationwide, only 200 learners were invited to this prestigious event.
The ISF will take place from 7 to 9 December at the Birchwood Hotel & OR Tambo Conference Centre.
Grade 9 learner Abigail Marais of Point High School in Mossel Bay, Grade 11 learner Jaco Jacobs of Outeniqua High School and Grade 9 learner Abrie van As of Oakdale Agricultural School in Riversdale impressed judges with the projects they submitted for the regional competition, the Eden Karoo Eskom Expo, earlier this year. Since then two sessions have been held to guide learners in improving their projects to comply with the high standard set for the ISF. "We wish them good luck and look forward to them making our region proud," said regional administrative assistant Sonet Strydom.
