GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - An intense cut-off low-pressure system is expected to produce showers and thundershowers over the Western Cape from Sunday into Monday.
From Sunday afternoon; Some of these thunderstorms are expected to be severe over the Garden Route district, including other areas in the Western Cape.
This will result in rapid heavy downpours, excessive lightning, strong downdraft as well as large amounts of small hail.
The Garden Route District Municipality appeals to residents to be alert and cautious. If on the road, avoid flooded areas and rivers and be ready to move to higher ground, if necessary.
Remember to keep pets safe.
