Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Municipality has said that crews from its fire, rescue and disaster management services are still monitoring two vegetation fires, one between Little Brak River and Hartenbos, and the other on some farming land next to the N2 near KwaNonqaba.
Due to windy and dry conditions, flare-ups continue to be reported at both sites.
The Little Brak/Hartenbos fire broke out near the railway line between these two areas on Saturday afternoon, 3 January.
On Monday afternoon, 5 January, a vegetation fire broke out on the farming land next to the N2. That fire was escalated to the Garden Route District Municipality’s fire services.
No structures are currently in danger.

The Garden Route District Municipality said a counter-burn is currently being implemented on the farming land to clear dense vegetation, which had caused multiple flare-ups today due to strong winds.
Report any wildfires to the Garden Route District Municipality’s emergency call centre on 044 805 5071 or WhatsApp them to 081 709 5193.
