MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The annual Toy Run took place on Sunday, 26 November, in Mossel Bay.
Each year a different town in the Southern Cape hosts this bikers' charity drive.
This year was the turn of Mossel Bay motorcycle clubs to play host and according to feedback received, it was a very successful rally.
Many toys, clothes, sanitary wear and hygiene items as well as a sizeable amount of R14 000 were donated by the members of bike clubs from all over the Southern Cape.
About 500 motorbikes formed part of the mass ride that departed from the Mosselbaai Mall in Heiderand towards the Mossel Bay Correctional Services facility, where the festivities took place.
Rowan Roman, president of the Unforgettables bike club, thanks everyone who took part and helped to make the event such a huge success.
Various creches and welfare organisations will receive the donated items to distribute among those who need them the most.
Donations are still welcome: Capitec, Toy Run, savings account 1547749626.
