MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Great Brak Cabaret is in its 11th year. This year it is taking place on 17 and 18 May at De Dekke Restaurant, Great Brak.
The charities which will benefit from all the funds raised this year are the animal welfare charity, Caws 4 Paws, and Child Welfare Great Brak.
Barry Greyvenstein, the master of ceremonies of the cabaret, said: "This is a fun, local community event, done voluntarily."
Greyvenstein has been living in Great Brak for 20 years and during this time has helped local charities and played an active role in the ratepayers' association.
He will be assisted by Great Brak resident Sulien Kamfer, also from Great Brak, in hosting this year's cabaret.
Tickets for the cabaret cost R150 each and can be bought from PostNet in Great Brak or online at https://tinyurl.com/thegreatbrakcabaret.
Doors open at 17:30, so you can order drinks or something to eat and then the cabaret starts at 19:30.
