MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A well-known local businessman (62) appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court on a charge of sexual assault on Monday, 7 October.
The man, who cannot be named until he pleads, was charged after he allegedly sexually harassed and sexually assaulted a 46-year-old woman, who had been working for him.
It is claimed incidents of alleged harassment and sexual assault took place from 2022 to 2024.
The businessman was arrested by members of the police's Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit in Mossel Bay and was detained in the George prison until he went on bail on 27 August.
The matter was postponed to 15 October for further investigation.
