Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The search is still on for a four-year-old Yorkshire terrier named Chloe, who disappeared from 20 Nerina Road in Dana Bay on 29 December.
Chloe's owner, Elsje Laas, had been visiting family in the area for the holidays when Chloe went missing. Laas said she had spent most of her time in Dana Bay after Chloe's disappearance, looking for her, without success.
Laas left for her home in Bloemfontein on Sunday, 5 January, but said her departure did not mean the search had been called off.
She was originally offering a R2 000 reward for Chloe's safe return but upped the amount to R10 000.
Laas said she was grateful to the many community members who spent hours searching for Chloe last week.
She said people had been driving and walking around Dana Bay, looking for Chloe, with someone even using a drone to try to locate her. A woman had even come from Plettenberg Bay with her sniffer dog to try to trace Chloe.
They had narrowed down where Chloe was, but were just unable to reach her due to the thick bushes and because of how scared she is. Chloe has a pink collar with her name on the tag and Laas' cellphone number.
If you find Chloe, call Laas (084 446 1713).
