MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A Mountain View man accused of striking a woman in the head with a self-made axe earlier this year appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court today, 17 April.
According to court documents, Ruduwaan Jantjies (38) allegedly struck the victim (27) with the axe near Lizard Street in Mountain View, Mossel Bay on 17 January.
He was arrested by Da Gamaskop Police the following day on a charge of attempted murder. He has since been denied bail and remains behind bars.
The matter has been postponed to 28 May.
