"Together, collectively we as a community can pray for our young people, not only for the young people of Mossel Bay, but for all of the young people of South Africa. We can pray that our youth will be guided to make the right choices when they are faced with difficult choices. I also commend the educators, the school governing bodies and parents for the important role you play in the lives of our youth. The youth have their future in their hands, may they seek the presence of God in their lives ahead," Mayor Levendal said. "You have a dream, live your life and may you achieve all you are capable of."
The mayor said he and his council have the greatest empathy with the parents and family of the young people who recently have lost their lives due to crime.
