Voluntary sterilization is a free, quick, safe and easy procedure which takes only about 20 minutes.
Permanent contraception (sterilization) should be considered when a person has as many children as he or she wishes to have. Voluntary sterilization is a positive step taken by responsible men and women who want to take charge of their lives to uplift themselves and their families by choosing this form of permanent contraception.
The No-Scalpel Vasectomy (male sterilization) is popular among men as it is done using a local anaesthetic and patients can usually resume work the next day. Female sterilization is usually done laparoscopically (keyhole surgery) under general anaesthetic. A few days rest post-operatively is advised.
